You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Pros:
Many file formats to choose from, easy to use and intuitive, very appealing, it is simple and does its job.
Cons:
My guess is that 40$ is a little to much for this and the editing part could contain more features.
Review:

O.K., so this is basically a converting software. It takes as input any DVD format and converts it in other file formats. You can choose from a multitude of file formats.
As functionality features we find the followings:
-it opens not only DVDs but also DVD images and folders containing DVD files
-a few editing tools are available such as, image cropping, colors editing (brightness, contrast), watermark inclusion and video clipping
-of course it converts the DVD into various formats

Editing the video
So you've loaded the DVD and now you want to try some modifications.
Simply click the "Edit" button and you'll be provided with some editing options. This software module contains three tabs: Crop, Effect and Watermark. The Crop tab let you set the visible area. You can set the zoom, left and top margins and the cropped area size (in pixels). The cropping area can be also set by using the mouse. Just drag the control points from the right image. On the Effects tab we find brightness, contrast and saturation controls as well as two combo-boxes, one with various effects and the other with deinterlacing methods. In the watermark tab you can either load an image or set a text. Various attributes can be also set. Next to the playing controls it has two mirroring buttons and one for image rotation.
Clipping the video
The software enables the user to clip the video. This feature can be accessed through the "Clip" button. You can set the part of the video you like either by dragging the start and end points with the mouse or by manually entering the start and end time.

On the main window the software enables subtitle selection, audio track selection, the output path and profile. A nice feature is the variety of ripping profiles. Also the profile selection menu is highly accessible.
The design is slick and trendy adding value to the software usability and accessibility.
As for resource consumption in full load it uses almost 120K of memory and 53% of my AMD Athlon 4000+ dual core processor.

Conclusion:

It is a very good software if only ripping is needed. The file formats variety is helpful and easy to use. Overall I can consider it a little over the average.
