Pros:
Easy to operate, convenient layout, works great with turntables, loading music is integrated, 3rd party plugin compatible
Cons:
Looks clumped, not very inviting for newcomers, certain functions hard to do with computer and mouse, could be turn off for DJs because it occasionally lags and stutters
Review:

Virtual DJ Studio is certainly a great piece of software. Many of it's features make using it very convenient and can make it diverse. The built in file manager lets you import music into VDJ without having to minimize or close to program. This is very handy for DJs and a great convenience even for the home user. One of the better features of this program is the support of 3rd party plugins. Although you can do a lot with VDJ, plugins make life that much easer. You can use plugins that isolate bass or treble or cut out the voice to leave just the instrument, there are so many possibilities. It's also easy to use for newcomers or people who are switching from some other program to VDJ. Although it can look complicated, it isn't once you play around with it for a bit. It's simple enough that newcomers can start to pick it up within a few hours but is also built well enough to handle the needs of a DJ. It works decently with just a computer and a mouse (which is more than enough for a general user) but you really need some turntables to bring out the best of this software. The only one thing I didn't like about this software was the occasional lag that stutter that occurred. Even with a computer that is beyond powerful enough to run the software, there was still some lag. This could be a potential turnoff for DJs, especially when they are live. However, it doesn't really take away from the mixing unless you are a DJ or unless you really don't like the occasional fragment-of-a-second lag.

Conclusion:

Virtual DJ Studio is a great software that can be picked up easily by newcomers and can handle the requirements of DJ. If you're a newcomer and want to try out or play with some DJ software, this is a great place to start. If you are a DJ looking for some software or wanting to switch, this is great for you as well. Just watch out for that lag and make sure you have a good enough computer to run it smoothly.
