I am a graphic designer, I work with millions of photos all the time. It can be very annoying to go through a hundred files and take out red eye, crop or rotating. Photo Managers save a lot of time by doing multiple things to large amounts of photos at a time.
You view or edit thousands of photos at a time by foldrs, keywords, ratings, etv, and the interface is very easy to understand.
There are command keys for most things, and most options are previewable. One annoying thing with many photo managers is excess tool bars and/or complicated interfaces. With PicaJet you can show or hide different parts of the interface with commands keys.
You can save to just about any file format, so you can move pictures from computer to computer, regardless of pc or mac, and what software other computers have. This is a huge plus for many people like us graphic designers.
