Review:

At first glance, Infix PDF Editor appears to be like you are back in time, working with Office 2003. This is just a cosmetic issue however and upon further delving into the product, you can go into View -> Application Look menu which will allow you to select a more pleasing and modern interface theme if aesthetics are important to you. Though this will not change the icon theme, this will make the icon bars change. Do not let the aesthetics on the surface fool you however.. It is evident that the development team of this PDF editor have put a lot of effort into making a good, solid product with plenty of functionality that I have not seen even in Adobe Acrobat Professional. If the product does seem a little unusual in the places where you find the menu items, it is because of the vast feature set which this software provides. I decided to put it through its paces with a multimedia-rich newsletter in PDF format to see how it would handle it. The software is not flawless, though it tries to give useful suggestions to help you along the way. I selected some text and made it bold, underlined and then italics. I was prompted to select a different font since my chosen font did not contain all the characters in italics and would not completely display in italics. It is this effort of the programmers to think of the end user at all times that I admire about this product. Yes, there may be a learning curve with Infix PDF Editor, but the documentation is generous and detailed, often with video links on the support website to help users achieve various tasks with ease. Another example of useful forethought by the developers is when you select an image, you are reminded that some text in the document may be invisible or scanned from an image and the software recommends to you to switch to using the OCR corrections facility.

Conclusion:

Multimedia editing more intuitive in formats like publisher, word. If regular need to edit PDF files, I would strongly consider this software for two reasons: fantastic documentation and extensive features.
