Someone of great strength and courage who could rid the land of the evil plague, and rebuild the cities. You are that King... You alone must travel to the end of the world, build a mighty castle, slay the undead hordes, and convert the people of the land to loyal subjects of your domain... in the Age of Castles!

* 5 different kings each with different personalities and skills: Dwarf, Wizard, Prince, Knight and Warrior!
* 18 locations each with different attributes to build your castle!
* Thousands of random events! No two days are the same!
* Buy upgrades in the magic shop!
* Battle over 60 enemies throughout the town! Goblins, Orcs and the dreaded dragons are all out to destroy your castle!

Pros: Simple interface makes for a very easy learning curve
Cons: Repetitive, Boring, Poor Graphics, Just avoid this game
The game on the outset looked promising enough. It seemed like a kingdom/castle building game and I was looking forward to some strategy and action. Images of Age of Empires floated to my mind....

Pros: Simple game to play with a very small learning curve. Simple graphics that run smoothly and look decent.
Cons: Boring, no sense of build up or excitement No sense of reward for doing well
This game's title is a bold move by the developers. Jumping on the 'Age of...' bandwagon in an attempt to boost popularity will only leave punters frustrated with the lack of creativity, ingeniuty...

Pros: Might be fun as a short, 10 minute game.
Cons: Graphics, Battle System, Repetition, Lack of fun
Age Of Castles seems heavily flawed, with many horrible problems, such as the horrible graphics and the plain HORRIBLE battle system. At first it looks to be a decent game, with the soundtrack giving...

Pros: -Resembles somewhat of a "WIP" or a project in the process of becoming a half decent game.
Cons: -Gameplay is repetitve -Easily becomes boring
This game clearly needs some serious development. I had loaded it and within the first few moments of evaluation playing the game "seems" to have taken control of itself, merely asking to "start the...

Pros: Colorful art?
Cons: Not addicting, wonky gameplay, battle system is a joke, and the game is just not worth your time.
As much as I hate giving negitive reviews, a game like this deserves no mercy. It's short, boring, and isn't worth the 10(roughly) MB free on your hard drive. It might seem addicting at first, but...

An over glorified text rpg

Pros: low system requirements, music, medieval setting

Even text based rpgs can hold a person's interest because of the designers effort to be descriptive in place of good graphics. Age of Castles is the lethargic second cousin of Warcraft 3. Warcraft at...

Yes Age of Boredom is more like it. The game is completely boring, hardly any action and when there is action, you don't see it happen. You pick the combination of merchants, clerics, builders, and...

Effectiveness:
Help/Support:
Pros: - Average game for Strategy-genre fans - Very quick learning curve of around 30 minutes or less (The minimum learning curve standard) - Demo feature, though very common among downloadable games nowadays, is always a great addition
Cons: - Great lack of variety in almost every aspect - Sound, gameplay and graphics become too repetitive too quickly; lack of variety - Very low or no chance to become successful, money-wise
It won’t be the next WoW (World of Warcraft, world’s number one MMORPG as of the date of the writing of this article) and it won’t even sell the amount of units its creators probably expect it...

Pros: small system requirements, long time of playing, interesting development of the castle(you just want to see what will be the other castle)
Cons: slightly boring and repetitive music,no different forces or control on them, it became boring too soon, too expensive for the quality
I don`t know which game is first, but this game is like the phone game "Townsman" for a computer. Its true that it has much more extras then the phone game, but the idea is the same - you only adjust...
