Pros: Very natural Voices, A huge improvement over Microsoft's stock TTS collection.
Cons: A bit on the expensive side.
I only recently had a chance to demo AT&T Natural Voices on a friend's PC, and I must say, I was unexpectedly impressed by it. I expected this program to be a superfluous add-on to Windows'...

Pros: It reads for you when you don't feel like reading, or your eyes are tired from looking at the monitor for long hours. It does read any form of text, including web pages, email, any text that is in a text box (window) and many file types, such as PDF, RTF, Word, etc... you can adjust the speed that it reads.
Cons: Still sounds somewhat robotic because there is no voice inflection. It can be hard to understand when it pronounces certain words completely wrong, throwing off an important part of what it is reading. it's a little high priced but not unreasonable.
I first came across AT&T Natural Voices when I was trying to find some reasonable software that reads text out loud. I had a 250 page ebook that I had to read for a review I was doing and I could not...

AT&T – Natural Voices – is a software that enables a text-to-speech function in Microsoft word. Although it is no match for Linguatec's Voice Reader Studio which costs a lot more, it is a perfect...

Pros: Good for basic text to voices.
Cons: This program is a step up from Microsoft's default robotic text to voice reader but AT&T's Natural Voices is less of a match to Linguatec's Voice Reader Studio.
I bought this program in early September 2006 because I'd come down with a vision problem that made me temporarily partially blind in one eye. I love to read (mostly fan fiction on the internet, but...
