DOC Regenerator is the new recovery solution for lost, damaged, deleted, overwritten MS Word document files. It efficiently recovers lost word document files from an existing partition as well as lost documents from a corrupted, deleted partition, or a reformatted disk.

it got me what i wanted

Pros: works with both fat3 and ntfs. i tried it with older versions of ms word document as far back as 97 and pronto it worked. the 30 day money back guarantee is good, though i was initially too impressed to consider it
Cons: it recovers passwords, this is bad for security. can't it detect password settings and prevent their recovery? you wonder why it doesnt work with office 2007 and vista? works only with window xp

Extremely Useful for Small Businesses

Pros: -The fact that there is a 30-day trial period for this software is definitely a major pro because I would not recommend buying this product until after you try/test it. -The fact that it can recover password protected documents is a major plus point. I found this very useful & it saved me a lot of time & tension. -Another major selling point is that the program can recover corrupted documents as well. This is particularly useful if your hard-disk is worn out or damaged. It acts as a secondary/emergency backup resource in this case. -File systems are ignored during the search & recovery process. This is an added advantage that saves the user a lot of time and energy that would otherwise be wasted by sifting through the hundreds of unwanted documents. -It is compatible with both FAT & NTFS file systems. -It is capable of recovering documents from lost or removed partitions and even from reformatted disks. -Relatively easy to use.
Cons: -It tends to hang the XP operating system. I am not aware as to how other operating systems react to the software as I only use XP. I noticed that it tends to hang during the search process. -Recovered documents are, at times, un-readable. -The software is not compatible with the new Microsoft Office 2007 & Windows Vista. This will lead the users to believe that it is already obsolete. -Inability to search for a document in a specific folder. You can only run a search that covers the entire disk. -Inability to password protect the program itself (during startup). -Rather over-priced.

Pros: After the operation of DOC Regeneration2.11, the interface of Select Source Drive displays. There are two optional manners: one is to select the drive from the drop-down list and the other is to click the drive listed below directly. Select the drive and enter the Select Destination Directory interface. The purpose of the path is listed below and you can click Browse to open Browse for Folder window On the right of the window displays the being-carried-out operation, including Scanning?Analyzing?Preview?Save to Disk, all of which display in gray.
Cons: 1. After Selecting the drive and entering into the Select Destination Directory interface, the selected driver displays as garbled English label. 2. The form of hyperlink is less direct viewing than that of button, and does not have a strong sense of the interface level. 3.
