Pros: It can read any form of text on your pc screen as long as it is txt, pdf, doc, rtf, html (and other web page texts), your emails. You can make it read at any speed desirable to you.
Cons: It reads with a robotic sound (as do many other text readers). Sometimes, you don't know if a particular statement is a sentence or question.
I am a kind of person who prefers video or audio to plain text. I don't like reading very long text and I always buy products that are in video (or mp3) format. But some time ago, I bought a package...

Pros: You may get a free download version from www.softwarejudge.com and you may tri it for free at your own pace.
Cons: The voice sampled at 8 KhZ is problably a bit robotic. But all is all is a good product.
The At & T voice reproduction software is a great value, but it is a bit expensive: you can now add the voices to your purchase or other text to speech software. The minimum processor needed is a 300...

Most natural voices I have ever heard on a PC

By spezialemic on Sat, 2009-12-05 08:39
Pros: Very natural Voices, A huge improvement over Microsoft's stock TTS collection.
Cons: A bit on the expensive side.
I only recently had a chance to demo AT&T Natural Voices on a friend's PC, and I must say, I was unexpectedly impressed by it. I expected this program to be a superfluous add-on to Windows'...

Voicing My Opinion

By evaluator on Mon, 2009-10-26 20:51
Pros: It reads for you when you don't feel like reading, or your eyes are tired from looking at the monitor for long hours. It does read any form of text, including web pages, email, any text that is in a text box (window) and many file types, such as PDF, RTF, Word, etc... you can adjust the speed that it reads.
Cons: Still sounds somewhat robotic because there is no voice inflection. It can be hard to understand when it pronounces certain words completely wrong, throwing off an important part of what it is reading. it's a little high priced but not unreasonable.
I first came across AT&T Natural Voices when I was trying to find some reasonable software that reads text out loud. I had a 250 page ebook that I had to read for a review I was doing and I could not...
